Summary/Objective The AR Manager will oversee the recording and collection of customer invoices, ensuring accurate and prompt processing and payment. Essential Functions: Achieves accounting operational objectives by contributing accounting information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change. Confirms financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses; coordinating the collection, consolidation, and evaluation of financial data; preparing special reports. Maintains accounting controls Guides other departments by researching and interpreting accounting policy; applying observations and recommendations to operational issues. Maintains financial security by establishing and adhering to internal controls. Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed. Ensures billings and receivables are correctly processed in a timely manner Addresses and corrects any discrepancies in accounts or billings Serves as a liaison between clients and clerks to negotiate acceptable payment plans Refers overdue accounts to collections Provides or facilitates accurate reports and analysis on financial data and metrics Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, or (5) five years or more of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software and databases, Oracle EBS and Blackline a plus. Proven knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and application of those to the job role. Oracle EBS knowledge a plus. Experience in a public company and SOX compliant organization a plus. Pharmaceutical industry knowledge preferred but not required. Key Competencies Business Acumen. Consultation and Coaching. Recruits, interviews, hires and trains new staff in the department, oversees the daily workflow of the department and provides constructive and timely performance evaluations. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.
