This is a key role responsible for producing accurate, competitive bids for commercial and industrial projects across Idaho, Oregon, Nevada, and Utah.This is not an entry-level or residential estimating role. Our estimators are trusted partners in the business - not just number crunchers - with real authority and growth paths.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare accurate estimates for commercial and industrial painting, coatings, and flooring projectsPerform digital takeoffs using Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar softwareDevelop labor and material pricing based on production rates, job conditions, and scopeAttend pre-bid meetings and job walks as requiredReview plans and specifications to clarify scope and riskCommunicate with general contractors, vendors, and internal teamsTrack bids and analyze results to improve estimating accuracyCoordinate scope handoff with project managers after awardMaintain and improve estimating templates and processesWhat Success Looks LikeAccurate, complete bidsClear scope definitionConsistent bid turnaroundStrong communication with operations and clientsImproved win rates and fewer post-award issuesRequired Qualifications 3-5+ years of experience estimating commercial painting or coatings (new construction preferred)Knowledge of coatings systems, surface preparation, and sequencingAbility to read architectural drawings and specificationsExperience adjusting production rates based on job conditionsProficiency with estimating and takeoff software (Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar)Strong communication and organizational skillsValid driver's licensePreferred QualificationsExperience with industrial coatings, epoxy flooring, or concrete coatingsCRM or Google Workspace experienceBilingual (English/Spanish)Pay, Bonuses & BenefitsBase salary: $70,000-$88,000 annually (DOE)Project commissions and profitability bonusesMedical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurancePaid holidays, vacation, and sick time401(k) retirement planBi-weekly payCompany-provided tools and softwareLong term growth opportunitiesScheduleFull-time, Monday through FridayOccasional job walks or pre-bid site visitsMinimal local travelEqual Opportunity Employer
