IT Technician
Responsible for onsite service and support needs for our business, vendors and customers. This relates to all technology, including workstations, servers, printers, networks, and vendor specific hardware and software.
Primary duties:
Troubleshoot and repair desktop hardware and software
Provide on-site assistance deploying/maintaining desktops, servers, routers, switches, software
Document work and track time thoroughly and accurately
Actively participate and contribute to team and company meetings
Occasionally work nights and/or weekends when we do service-affecting work to minimize customer downtime during business hours
Required qualifications:
Strong and demonstrable verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrable attention to detail
Ability to follow directions and policies precisely
Superior knowledge and/or experience in the following technologies:
Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems
Microsoft Office Applications
Smartphones/Mobile Devices -- iPhone/iPad
Extra:
Experience and/or certifications in the following technologies:
Microsoft Active Directory
Microsoft Exchange
Microsoft Terminal Services/Remote Desktop Services
About the work environment…
All work will be onsite at our heavy industrial manufacturing facility. While most of your responsibilities will be within our office facility, there will be time spent on our shop floor. We provide all PPE as necessary (* boots?)
