rOLE: PostgreSQL Developer (Senior)Location: Madison Avenue, New York City, NY (100% Onsite)We are seeking a hands-on PostgreSQL Developer with strong expertise in database development, SQL optimization, and application integration. This role is ideal for a senior developer who has deep experience designing, developing, and optimizing PostgreSQL database solutions and is looking to grow into an architecture-focused position.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain PostgreSQL database solutions for enterprise applications.Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.Design database schemas, data models, and database structures to support scalable applications.Perform query tuning, indexing, partitioning, and performance optimization to improve application efficiency.Support application modernization initiatives involving PostgreSQL-backed systems.Collaborate with application development teams to integrate PostgreSQL databases with backend services and enterprise applications.Analyze and resolve database-related performance and integration issues.Participate in technical design reviews and contribute to database architecture decisions.Create and maintain technical documentation related to database design and development.Required Skills8+ years of PostgreSQL Development experience.Strong expertise in:PostgreSQLPL/pgSQLComplex SQL QueriesStored ProceduresFunctionsTriggersViews & Materialized ViewsQuery OptimizationPerformance TuningDatabase Design & Schema DevelopmentData ModelingExperience integrating PostgreSQL with enterprise applications and backend services.Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting application modernization projects.Exposure to backend development and system design.Experience progressing toward Solution Architecture or Technical Architecture responsibilities.Important NoteThis is a PostgreSQL Development role, not a PostgreSQL DBA position.
