Job Description Job Title: Machine Operator Assistant Location: Springfield MO USA 65808 Pay Rate: $21.03/hour Shifts Available: 1st shift -7am – 3pm 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Sunday starts on 3rd shift) Duration: 6 months Job Overview We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented Machine Operator Assistants to join a leading corrugated packaging manufacturing facility in Springfield, MO. In this role, you will support machine operators with production, quality checks, equipment setup, and basic maintenance while ensuring a safe and efficient manufacturing process. Key Responsibilities Assist with machine setup, calibration, and operation of manufacturing equipment. Monitor product quality to ensure it meets company standards. Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting using hand tools. Record production, downtime, and maintenance information accurately using computer systems. Follow work instructions and manufacturing processes with strong attention to detail. Work closely with team members and supervisors to achieve production goals. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety procedures. Qualifications 2–3 years of stable manufacturing or production experience preferred. Strong attendance and reliable work history. Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow established processes. Good communication and teamwork skills. Prior experience in a full-line manufacturing environment is a plus. Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic manufacturing math. Physical Requirements Lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. Stand, walk, bend, climb stairs, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift. Comfortable working in a hot and humid, non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment. Willing to work overtime (up to 12-hour shifts) and weekends as needed. Additional Information Site tour is required before starting. Must successfully complete a background check and pre-employment drug screening. Candidates should be flexible to work assigned shifts and overtime based on production needs.
