Job Description Description: RETTEW is seeking a Transportation Engineer 3 to join our growing Transportation Team. Guided by our core values, Act Like an Owner, Value Relationships, and Exemplify Excellence, we invest in our people and the communities we serve.Work Environment: HybridLocations: Lancaster, Berwyn, or Lehigh Valley, PAPosition Summary:As a Transportation Engineer 3, you will perform and support moderately complex engineering design tasks, contribute to project delivery, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. You will apply sound engineering judgment, support project coordination, and begin guiding junior staff while continuing to grow technically and professionally.Responsibilities:Develop roadway, traffic, and transportation design plans using engineering software and CAD toolsPrepare portions of plans, specifications, reports, and permit applicationsConduct field investigations and support construction observation activitiesAnalyze data and apply engineering principles to develop practical design solutionsCollaborate with project managers on schedules, budgets, and deliverablesSupport proposal development and assist with scopes of workCoordinate with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders on project tasksProvide guidance to junior staff and contribute to team developmentQualifications:Required:Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related fieldMinimum 4+ years of relevant experience, including internshipsStrong understanding of transportation or roadway design principlesExperience with design software such as MicroStation, OpenRoads, or AutoCADAbility to manage tasks, meet deadlines, and work within project budgetsStrong communication and collaboration skillsPreferred:Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificationExperience with PennDOT, municipal, or state transportation projectsProgression toward Professional Engineer (PE) licenseExperience mentoring or supporting junior staffWhat We Offer:Competitive salary based on experience.
