The Riggs Building sits opposite the US Treasury and was constructed in 1930. The 12-story building is located around the corner from the White House and sits above the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream, formerly the historic Riggs Bank Corcoran branch.Reporting into the Director of Events and as a key part of our Catering and Events team you will:Maintain customer relationships and use your excellent selling skills to secure business up to 40 peopleConduct site tours and contact potential clients, so they can see what we have to offerPrepare booking event orders and all essential requirements for events to go perfectlyWork in partnership with our operations teams to make sure your events are spot onCollaborate with the Events coordinator on their key responsibilitiesTrack, invoice and collect client paymentsRespond to client feedback and requests timely and report concerns to Director of EventsWhat you can bring to the role:Rapport building skills are essential for working in our events sales team; every guest is a loyal client or potential new client, so every interaction is crucialYou’ll have a fantastic personality, engaging with our clients to give them an exceptional serviceYou’ll have great all-round knowledge and a knack of converting enquiries into confirmed businessCollaborate with the Director of Events to discuss, manage and assist with monthly cost and budgetsCreate and review guest feedback reports, implement action plans and foster a collective team effort to ensure our teams are able to learn from feedback and implement ideas to improve serviceManage event operations from beginning to end to ensure guest satisfaction, to include setup, service, staffing, working with the culinary team to ensure food qualityMaintain an excellent relationship and partnership with the client and guest throughout event experienceAssist with pre and post client meetings to ensure we are anticipating clients needs and exceeding expectationsAble to work on site 5 days a week, at times include will weekends and holidays for specific eventsWhat The Ned can give you:Salary of up to $90,000/ yearMedical, Dental, Vision, Company Paid Life, STD, LTD InsuranceComplimentary meals in our friendly team restaurant when the Club opensExciting learning and development programs to help progress your careerExclusive rates with our hotels for stays and dining, exclusive rates for your family and friends for hotel staysPaid time off401k matchingEmployee assistance program – advice and supportReward and recognition initiativesAt The Ned, we don't just celebrate our diversity, we challenge ourselves to do even better.
