Ignite Hotels combines disciplined operations with genuine hospitality, emphasizing teamwork, accountability, and delivering memorable guest experiences across its portfolio.About the RoleThe Engineering Manager leads hotel maintenance and facilities operations to ensure the property is safe, well-maintained, and operating efficiently.Essential FunctionsOversee maintenance and engineering operations for the hotel.Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs for guestrooms, public areas, and back-of-house.Respond promptly to maintenance issues and guest service requests.Manage maintenance budgets, inventory, and vendor relationships.Lead, train, and schedule maintenance team members.Ensure compliance with OSHA, fire/life safety, and local building codes.Conduct routine inspections of guestrooms, public areas, mechanical rooms, and grounds.Coordinate capital projects, renovations, and repairs with ownership and vendors.Maintain building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems.Maintain documentation, logs, and compliance records.Perform other duties as assigned.This description is intended to outline the general nature and level of work performed. Employees are expected to maintain professional conduct and uphold company standards of service and integrity at all times.QualificationsExperienceMinimum 3–5 years of hotel or commercial maintenance experience; prior leadership experience preferred.Education & CertificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; technical training or trade certification preferred.HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or other relevant certifications/licenses a plus.Skills & AbilitiesStrong working knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety).Ability to troubleshoot, prioritize, and resolve issues efficiently.Strong leadership and team development skills.Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.Professional guest and team communication.Reliable, dependable, and safety-focused.AvailabilityScheduling may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call availability for emergencies.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, climb ladders, work in mechanical spaces, and lift up to 50 pounds.Work EnvironmentThis position operates in a hotel facilities environment and may involve exposure to mechanical spaces, noise, and variable temperatures.Reports To: General Manager and/or other designated Company leadershipEmployment & Equal OpportunityEmployment is governed by applicable state and federal law.Benefits for eligible employees may include health insurance coverage and paid time off.
