This position brings deep expertise in mainframe application modernization, including COBOL-to-Java transformation, database modernization, and target architecture design.Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, the Presales Solution Consultant ensures proposed solutions are technically robust, commercially viable, and aligned with each organization’s modernization strategy and business goals.This job can be performed from anywhere in the US.Preferred EducationBachelor's DegreeRequired Technical And Professional Expertise8+ years of relevant experience in a technical, client-facing or presales roleProven experience supporting the sales lifecycle in a presales or solutioning capacityStrong familiarity with IBM mainframe and distributed technologiesSolid understanding of relational and non-relational database designCore Mainframe Expertise: Hands-on experience with one or more of the following: COBOL, DB2, IMS (DB/DC), IDMS, Natural / Adabas, VSAM, CICS, Batch processing (JCL)Preferred Technical And Professional ExperienceCloud & Platforms:AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, Oracle CloudApplication serversOperating SystemsLinux, Solaris, WindowsLanguages & ToolsJava, C#, PythonWindows ScriptingAngular, Jakarta (Java EE)
