Chief Executive Officer Reporting to the Board of Directors – Sturgeon Bay, WI About Destination Door County Destination Door County (DDC) is the official tourism organization for Door County, WI, serving the ~30,000 resident community while welcoming over 2.5 million visitors annually. DDC promotes the peninsula year‑round, supporting sustainable economic development, environmental stewardship, and community well‑being. Role Overview The CEO will serve as the chief strategist for DDC, reporting directly to the Board of Directors. The role involves leading the organization's mission and strategic priorities while overseeing marketing, operations, financial management, stakeholder engagement, and community investment. Key priorities include strengthening partnerships, enhancing resident engagement, and ensuring effective use of public tourism funding. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop strategic direction for Destination Door County. Oversee marketing, operations, financial management, and community investment programs. Build and maintain partnerships with local businesses, municipalities, and community partners. Enhance resident engagement and promote sustainable tourism practices. Ensure responsible use of public tourism funding and benefit the community. Qualifications Extensive experience leading complex organizations in tourism or related fields. Strong strategic planning and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to navigate diverse stakeholder environments.
