We are looking for a Group Fitness Supervisor who is part fitness expert, part community activator, and 100% passionate about transforming lives through movement.
As our Group Fitness Supervisor, you aren't just managing schedules; you're architecting an experience. We're looking for a visionary leader who can curate the magic by developing an engaging, and fresh group fitness program across Virginia Beach in seven recreation centers, support and mentor 100 full and part time team members to reach their peak potential, and ensure every patron feels like they belong to something bigger.
Core Responsibilities
Recruit & Mentor - scout, audition, hire, and continuously develop a high performing team.
Master Scheduling - Manage seven high-value monthly class schedules that hits all the trends and community needs to maximize patron attendance and participation.
Quality Control - Conduct regular "spot checks" and auditions to ensure every class meets the "ultimate experience" standards.
KPI management - Drive patron retention through exceptional group fitness experiences by tracking performance metrics like class penetration, attendance, and class offerings. Accurately track monthly expenditures and revenues.
Equipment Oversight - Ensure all fitness tools - from sound systems to spin bikes - are in top tier condition.
Strategic Programming and Allocation - Analyze usage data to build schedules that maximize attendance while managing fiscal budgets.
Trend Spotting - Keep our classes ahead of industry trends.
Perform other job duties requiring skills, knowledge and physical requirements as demanded by those duties described or less. Individual assignments will be determined by the supervisor based on the current workloads and department needs.
