Schedule:
Full Time: 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday
Position Summary:
LECO is looking for a skilled, professional team leader for our Production Control Department. This position involves planning, scheduling and inventory control across multiple departments. The ideal candidate should have 4+ years of supervisory experience and 3+ years’ experience in planning, scheduling and inventory control.
Position Responsibilities:
Provide leadership on daily task execution, prioritization, continuous improvement, and goal attainment
Remove roadblocks and troubleshoot material flow problems in both systems and processes
Investigate the cause of critical material shortages and schedule delays and initiate action to ensure that work progresses on schedule
Keeps departments informed about completion dates, material changes or substitutions and schedules modifications
Develop/improve current planning methodologies along with monthly forecast review and implementation
Monitors ongoing projects for quality and timeliness, diverting resources when necessary
Maintain department documentation for work instructions, planning strategies and system coding of materials
Responsible for achieving annual inventory targets in all non-purchased categories
Develop, coach and mentor team members
Communicate and assist other departments in scheduling, routing, and material improvement projects
Investigate, recommend, and implement improvement projects within the department
Substitute for others in Production Control as required
Generate weekly and monthly reporting as required
Position Requirements:
Ability to lead a team covering a wide range of disciplines to meet and exceed goals and objectives
Demonstrate full understanding of material flow in a manufacturing environment, bills of materials and inventory control
Independent thought, good judgment, problem-solving skills, and ability to prioritize multiple projects
Open-minded and team-oriented attitude is required
Ability to communicate and present at all levels of the company
Excellent interpersonal skills
Proficient computer skills (ORACLE, Excel, etc.)
Preferred: 4+ years of supervisory experience
Preferred: 3+ years of production control/supply chain experience
Education/Certifications:
Associate Degree (Bachelor Degree preferred)
APICS or other Certification is a plus
