Position Overview:
The Intensive Mental Health Therapist will provide intake and assessment services, individual and group therapy for individuals with severe and persistent mental health concerns and referral and follow up services. Hours of work are typically 8:30 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday with flexibility to meet program needs including evenings and weekends.
What you will do:
Provide intakes and assessments for clients admitted to the Totem Lodge treatment program.
Complete written diagnostic assessments and impressions, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries and other documentation timely as required.
Provide crisis intervention services as needed including referral and follow up.
Participate in community mental health awareness and community outreach programs of NARA.
Provide case management for clients including referrals, follow up, and outreach services as needed.
We would like to hear from people that have:
Masters degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or psychiatric nursing.
Two years paid experience as a Mental Health Specialist, dual diagnosis experience preferred.
LCSW, LPC or LMFT license strongly preferred.
Must be a certified QMHP with the MHACBO board.
Experience working with severe and persistent mental illness, assertive treatment community, supported environments, or psychiatric hospitals required.
