Shopify Inventory Specialist

Hello, We are a luxury apparel brand seeking a Shopify Inventory Specialist to review and support an existing inventory workflow for an incoming shipment of approximately 1,000 units from France, being received at our New York location.The system is already set up. This role is to understand, guide, and ensure accurate execution — not rebuild.Scope of Work- Review current Shopify inventory structure (including New York location setup)- Understand existing receiving workflow and how inventory is updated- Coordinate briefly with current system owner (France-based) if needed- Ensure inventory is correctly received and entered into Shopify during intake- Identify and correct any issues in real timeResponsibilities- Provide clear guidance on inventory updates within Shopify- Ensure accuracy of inventory levels and location assignment- Support the Inventory Lead during receiving (remotely or on call as needed)- Recommend light improvements only if necessary (no full rebuild)Qualifications- Strong experience with Shopify inventory management- Familiarity with multi-location inventory in Shopify- Experience with inventory imports and bulk updates (CSV or similar)- Detail-oriented and responsive- Experience with apparel or SKU-heavy inventory preferredProject DetailsStart Date: ImmediateDuration: Short-term engagement — estimated a few hours totalLocation: Remote; must be available during New York business hours (East Coast preferred)Note: May lead to additional projectsTo ApplyPlease include:- Relevant Shopify inventory experience- Experience with multi-location setups- Availability over the next few daysThank you!
