In this role, you will supervise and coordinate special activities, recreational programs, and community programs to meet the needs of our ever-changing student population at the Hiram G. Andrews Center. DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs a Therapeutic Activities Aide, you will provide leadership and guidance for students participating in recreational and therapeutic activities on campus and in the community. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing group programs, special events, and athletic activities that promote social interaction, skill development, and student engagement. You will be expected to ensure safety in all program areas by monitoring behavior, instructing students on the proper use of equipment, and coordinating transportation and supervision for off-campus trips. You will also have the opportunity to encourage participation through problem-solving support and social skills development. Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employmentWork hours are 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with a rotating schedule including weekends, with a 30-minute lunch. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Six months of experience as an Aide Trainee (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); orSix months of work experience providing care to individuals requiring assistance with daily activities; orAn equivalent combination of experience and training.Other Requirements:You must meet the PA residency requirement.
