POSITION SUMMARYThe Night Auditor is a key member of the Front Office team, responsible for ensuring a smooth overnight operation and an exceptional guest experience. This role combines guest service responsibilities with accounting and reporting tasks, maintaining accuracy in daily transactions while providing courteous assistance to guests throughout the night. RESPONSIBILITIESProvide warm, professional guest service to all guests and visitors. Greet guests upon arrival, process check-ins/check-outs, and handle reservations with efficiency and hospitality. Answer internal and external calls promptly, delivering helpful information and forwarding messages accurately. Perform nightly balancing and reconciliation of all hotel accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurately posted. Prepare and distribute daily reports, following established accounting procedures. Maintain lobby and front desk areas in a clean and organized manner. Secure guest information and handle room keys and lost-and-found items in compliance with hotel policies. Ensure guest satisfaction by anticipating needs, resolving concerns, and maintaining a calm, professional demeanor. Remain alert and responsive throughout the overnight shift (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall hotel operations. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESAbility to work independently and stay alert during overnight hours. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills, maintaining composure under pressure. Detail-oriented with solid organizational and multitasking abilities. Basic accounting or cash-handling experience preferred. Proficiency with computers and property management systems. Professional appearance and demeanor. Reliability and punctuality are essential. EXPERIENCEPrevious customer service or front desk experience preferred; hospitality experience a plus. PHYSICAL DEMANDSAbility to stand for extended periods during the shift. May involve moderate activity and limited physical exertion. Must be able to lift and up to fifty (50) pounds. Ability to work in a standard front office environment.
