Cities served: Alpaugh, Dinuba, Ducor, Earlimart, Farmersville, Porterville, Richgrove, Saucelito, Seville, Strathmore, Terra Bella, Traver, Tulare, Visalia, Waukena, Woodlake, WoodvilleHourly Pay Range per District:Alpaugh Unified School District - $20.00Alta Vista Elementary School District - $20.00Burton School District - $20.00Dinuba Unified School District - $20.00Ducor Union Elementary School District - $20.00Earlimart School District - $20.00Farmersville Unified School District - $20.00Hope Elementary School District - $20.00Pleasant View Elementary School District - $20.00Porterville Unified School District - $20.00Richgrove School District - $20.00Saucelito Elementary School District - $20.00Stone Corral Elementary School District - $20.00Tulare City School District - $20.00Terra Bella Union Elementary School District - $20.00Visalia Unified School District - $20.00Waukena Joint Union Elementary School - $20.00Woodlake Unified School District - $20.00Woodville Union School District - $20.00Substitute Position* - $18.00*Note: If you have less than 5 days of availability (Monday - Friday) you may be considered for a substitute position.Monitor Student Learning in an After School Program EnvironmentMonitor and mentor student learning activities daily.Develop lesson plans and establish clear objectives for each day.Submit lesson plans to Teaching Fellows, ensuring target standards are met.Provide individual and group tutoring.Prepare reports to track student progress and accomplishments.Enforce behavioral rules and procedures to maintain order.Observe and evaluate student performance and behavior.Ensure equipment and materials are used properly.Communication & SafetyFoster good communication with fellow tutors, teachers, and with the California Teaching Fellows Foundation.Collaborate with other tutors on lesson planning and program goals.Ensure student safety and supervise all of their activities.Follow emergency procedures set forth by Teaching Fellows and/or school districts.Report any incidents promptly to the site lead, school administration, or local authorities.Perform Other Duties as AssignedAttend monthly staff meetings (Teaching Fellow Academies) once a month and training as scheduledOffer opinions and suggestions on program decisions.Adhere to any directives given by site lead, assistant site lead, or liaison.Minimum Qualifications:18 years old or olderHave obtained a high school diploma or GED equivalentAuthorization to work in the United StatesCompletion of 48 college units or passage of an approved exam, if applicable, to meet the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) requirements.Proficiency in the English language, including spelling, grammar, and composition; ability to speak multiple languages is recognized as beneficial but not required.General understanding of educational standards and the public school system.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Willingness to undergo background checks and Tuberculosis exam.Preferred:Ability to lead and motivate others.Excellent organization and time management.High ethical standards and cultural sensitivity.Desire to foster educational aspirations and goals in youth.The California Teaching Fellows Foundation is an equal opportunity employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
