Interior Systems Carpenter

Job Description Position OverviewThe Interior Systems Carpenter will support multiple minor construction task orders at Eglin Air Force Base and Hurlburt Field.This role focuses on high-quality installation of interior finishes, including flooring systems, ceiling tile systems, finish carpentry, and punch-out work.The ideal candidate is a productive, detail-oriented installer who can work independently or lead small tasks within a multi-trade crew environment.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall flooring systems including:Vinyl Composite Tile (VCT)Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP)Carpet TileSheet VinylInstall and repair ACT ceiling systems including:Grid layout and installationCeiling tile installationLight fixture / diffuser coordinationRepairs and replacementsPerform finish carpentry tasks including:Baseboard and trim installationDoor hardware adjustmentsBlocking and backing installationMinor drywall patch and finish workComplete punch list and turnover workMaintain clean and organized work areasWork safely in occupied and controlled environmentsCoordinate daily tasks with Superintendent and Multi-Trade LeadQualificationsRequired Experience3+ years installing commercial flooring systems3+ years installing ACT ceiling systemsExperience performing finish carpentry and punch-out workAbility to read basic construction drawings and layoutsExperience working on military bases, hospitals, or schools preferredSkillsStrong layout abilityHigh production mindsetAttention to detail and pride in workmanshipAbility to work within a fast-paced task order environmentReliable transportation and ability to pass base background check
