Manager Materials Planning

Job DescriptionThe Manager, Materials Planning is responsible for creating the production and material schedules to meet on time delivery targets. In addition, this leader will coordinate with key stakeholders in purchasing and inventory control when adjustments are needed and troubleshoots complex issues as necessary.ResponsibilitiesDevelop methods and standards to measure and monitor flow and control of material on the manufacturing floors (WIP management)Utilize and manage core metrics and Key Process Indicators to lead the planning and production control teams in order to ensure material supply meets production requirementsWork with the teams to capitalize on opportunities and issues such as what if scenarios, push outs and pull insParticipate in SIOP process working closely, and serving as a backup, with the Master Planners to ensure job orders/WIP is in line with minimal compressionWork with peer groups to ensure alignment and transparency of the build processManage the development of the planning scheduleExperience QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors Degree: Minimum four (4) years of experience in people management. Minimum six (6) years of experience in field. OR Masters Degree: Minimum two (2) years of experience in people management.
