Part Time Feeding Therapist (SLP)
Expressions Pediatric Therapy provides motor-based speech therapy, feeding therapy, myofunctional therapy, and language therapy with a strong focus on identifying and treating the root cause of speech and feeding disorders.
We are looking for a part-time SLP with a passion for pediatric feeding—someone who thinks critically, collaborates well, and genuinely wants to help children and families make meaningful progress.

Job Responsibilities:
You’ll primarily focus on pediatric feeding therapy (oral-motor, sensory, and functional feeding skills), with the option to treat speech/language clients if desired. If the right candidate has swallowing/dysphagia experience or interest, this could also be part of this position.
Complete feeding and/or speech evaluations and develop clear, functional treatment plans
Review findings and plans with families in a way that builds understanding and confidence
Continually assess client needs, problem-solve, and adapt treatment for meaningful outcomes
Provide consistent parent education and home strategies
Maintain accurate daily notes, data, and billing
Collaborate with caregivers, team members, and other providers while protecting patient privacy (HIPAA)
Communicate proactively with the owner/supervisor regarding scheduling, concerns, or clinical recommendations
Attend staff meetings or team meetings as needed
Stay current with research and best practices in feeding and motor-based therapy
Complete other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Alabama SLP license
CCC-SLP strongly preferred (CF may be considered with strong feeding interest/experience)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, car insurance, and acceptable driving record
CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
Pass a background check
Meet HIPAA and clinic policy requirements
Dependable attendance and professional work habits
Desired Skills:
Training in motor-based feeding, functional feeding, or orofacial myofunctional therapy — or willingness to pursue training
Strong clinical reasoning and initiative
Ability to deliver family-centered, root-cause-oriented care
Organized and efficient with documentation
A team mindset—supportive, adaptable, and solution-focused
Schedule & Compensation:
Part-time, flexible schedule
Pay-per-session rate with consistent weekly hours available
No PTO or health benefits for part-time roles, but CEU funds may be available
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
Expected hours: No less than 15 per week
