Occupational Therapist

Location: Hyannis/Sandwich Position: Part Time Occupational Therapist, Certified Hand Therapist PreferredSchedule: Monday through Friday, Varying HoursPart-Time Occupational TherapistPosition Overview: We are seeking a motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team on a part-time basis. This position is hand therapy-dominant, focusing on splint fabrication and upper extremity rehabilitation. Candidates with a strong background in hand therapy are encouraged to apply, as well as those enthusiastic and willing to develop expertise in this specialty.Responsibilities:Evaluate and treat patients with upper extremity and hand-related conditions.Fabricate, fit, and adjust custom splints for therapeutic and functional purposes.Develop individualized treatment plans and document progress.Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, home programs, and joint protection strategies.Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.Qualifications:Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in MA.Experience in hand therapy preferred but not required; willingness to learn and grow in this area is essential.Skilled or willing to learn splint fabrication and upper extremity rehabilitation.Strong communication and patient education skills.Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team. Qualifications: Bachelor's, Master's or Doctor's degree of an accredited occupational therapy curriculumMA Occupational Therapist licenseCertified Hand Therapist (CHT) preferred, or an interest to pursuing certification.Strong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently as well as part of a teamPassion for patient care and improving quality of life
