Optometrist

We are seeking a licensed and compassionate Optometrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care to patients, including vision exams, diagnosis and management of ocular diseases, and prescribing corrective lenses. This individual should demonstrate clinical excellence, patient-centered care, and a collaborative spirit with other healthcare providers and staff.RequirementsKey Responsibilities:Perform comprehensive eye exams and vision tests for patients of all agesDiagnose and manage ocular diseases, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and dry eyePrescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aidsCollaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals on co-management of patientsProvide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeryEducate patients on proper eye care, contact lens hygiene, and vision healthDocument patient diagnoses, treatment plans, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)Maintain current knowledge of optometric techniques, treatments, and technologyParticipate in continuing education and training programs as required by licensing boardsSupport the optical retail team by providing lens prescriptions and guidance on eyewear recommendations when needed RequirementsDoctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry schoolActive and unrestricted optometry license in GeorgiaCurrent DEA registration (if applicable)Strong diagnostic skills and a thorough understanding of ocular anatomy and pathologyExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsCommitment to patient care and clinical excellenceAbility to work well in a team-oriented environmentProficiency with EMR systems preferredMinimum of 1-3 years in clinical optometry (new graduates will be considered)Experience with specialty contact lens fitting, low vision therapy, or pediatric optometry is a plus Work Environment:Standard clinical setting within a multi-specialty ophthalmic and optical practiceMay require travel between clinic locations depending on organizational needs Work Schedule:Standard hours: Monday through FridayTypical daily schedule: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.No weekends or on-call duties required
