The RoleAs Strategic Finance Director, you will act as a financial partner to the CEO and leadership team. Your role is to bring clarity, discipline, and structure to how the business operates. You will own financial planning, help drive strategic decisions, and ensure resources are deployed effectively as the company grows. We are not looking for someone to report on the business. We are looking for someone to help run the business through finance—bringing discipline, insight, and structure to how Injala grows.Key Responsibilities1. Own Financial Planning & ModelingBuild and maintain a forward-looking operating model that ties together revenue, hiring, pricing, and marginsDevelop scenario plans to support key decisions (growth vs. cost, hiring pace, investment priorities)Continuously refine assumptions as the business evolves2. Implement Budgeting & Financial DisciplineDesign and roll out a company-wide budgeting processWork with department leaders to align spend with prioritiesEstablish accountability and enforce budget adherenceBring structure to how financial decisions are made across the organization3. Evaluate & Optimize Company SpendConduct a comprehensive review of team sizes and org structure, vendor and software spend, and overall operating expensesIdentify inefficiencies, overinvestment, and areas to reduce or reallocate capitalProvide clear recommendations to leadership on where to cut, invest, or restructure4. Partner on Strategic Decision-MakingWork closely with the CEO and leadership team on pricing strategies, hiring plans, and resource allocationTranslate business initiatives into financial impactBring a data-driven perspective and challenge assumptions where needed5. Build Financial Visibility & Operating RhythmEstablish KPIs and dashboards that provide visibility into performanceDefine reporting cadence (weekly/monthly) for leadershipEnsure the business has clear insight into growth, efficiency, and margins6.
