Digital Media Strategist

Our global Retail client is seeking a Media Strategist to join their team for the next 8 months, 40 hours/week. This role is fully onsite 5 days a week in Hoboken, NJ.  Role SummaryThe Media Strategist is responsible for building, executing, and managing conversion-driven and brand-building advertising solutions across omnichannel environments. This role blends strategic planning with hands-on execution, leading end-to-end campaign management across managed-service and self-service channels. The individual will translate brand marketing objectives into actionable media strategies, deliver measurable performance outcomes, and provide strategic insights to drive client success and revenue growth. As a subject matter expert, this role partners cross-functionally and serves as a trusted advisor to clients, managing day-to-day interactions and ensuring high-quality campaign delivery.Top Must Have Skills3+ years of experience managing or consulting on digital media campaigns across display, video, social, search, and programmaticStrong understanding of digital media metrics including CPM, CPC, CTR, and ROAS, with the ability to apply media math for optimizationProven client-facing experience with strong communication and presentation skillsDemonstrated ability to develop and execute data-driven media strategiesStrong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentAdditional QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related fieldProficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and OutlookFamiliarity with tools such as Salesforce, JIRA, Tableau, SQL, or Power BIAbility to navigate ambiguity and adapt to rapidly evolving environmentsStrong collaboration skills with cross-functional teamsPreferred:Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related fieldExperience in programmatic advertising, including DSPs, DMPs, and ad exchangesTrack record of influencing advertiser investment decisions and driving incremental revenueResponsibilitiesAct as a strong executor and consultative partner within a defined scope of accountsDevelop and execute strategic media plans across managed-service and self-service campaignsCollaborate with Sales and Account teams to create data-driven media proposals aligned with client goalsLead and participate in client and agency calls, demonstrating expertise in media planning, audience strategies, and campaign executionManage omnichannel campaigns including paid search, programmatic display, digital sponsorships, CTV, social media, digital OOH, and in-store experiential tacticsOversee campaign setup, pacing, optimization, and reporting to ensure strong performance and deliveryCommunicate performance metrics, insights, and optimization recommendations to internal and external stakeholdersEnsure adherence to internal service level agreements and quality assurance processes for seamless launchesIdentify upsell opportunities and present strategic recommendations to drive incremental revenuePartner cross-functionally to traffic and activate campaigns across multiple ad technology platformsTroubleshoot and resolve campaign issues efficiently to maintain optimal performanceIn this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data.
