KITCHEN MANAGERThe Chick-fil-A Greengate Centre Kitchen Manager is a key leadership role responsible for kitchen operations and ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, cleanliness and efficiency. They will assist the Director in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork and will also manage, anticipate, identify and correct any issues with food quality, inventory, systems and staffing.Key Responsibilities:Ensures Food Safety:* Follow all food safety guidelines as outlined in Chick-fil-A food safety training and follow all health department codes* Ensure all kitchen systems are being utilizedMaintains Back of House Equipment and Cleanliness:Assist with preventative maintenanceEnsure all equipment is in working order and safe to operateMaintain safe working conditionsProvide Owner with list of parts for repairsOrder small waresStrong focus on back of house cleanlinessAssists with Inventory Control Cost and Food Cost:Assist with placing orders and maintaining inventory in the storeUtilize and innovate kitchen systems to reduce and minimize wasteMaintain target food costPrepare monthly inventory and transfers and fill out transfer logEnsure all shelves are kept clean, neat, and organizedResponsible for Quality and Consistency:Adhere to all Chick-fil-A standards for all products as outlined in the Operational Requirements GuideWork directly with Training Director and Kitchen Director regarding quality standards and new product roll outResolve food quality issuesOversee Back of House Staff and Ensure Accountability:Ensure team members are always following proper policies and proceduresAssist on the line during peak periods / covering scheduling holesGive feedback for annual team member assessmentsAssist Training Director in team and leadership development in the kitchenWork closely with Catering Director to maintain successful product and staff levels for all catering events/promotions/specialsHold team members accountable and perform disciplinary actions as necessaryAttend meetings with kitchen leadershipSet the standard regarding accuracy, taste and presentation of foodSet the standard regarding speed of serviceGeneral Requirements:Available to work a minimum of 40 hours a weekOpen availabilityMinimum two (2) years kitchen/leadership experienceMust be ServSafe CertifiedMust attend 90% of scheduled meetingsNo unpaid time off (unless emergency)Reports to Kitchen DirectorSkills & Qualifications:Demonstrates integrityAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentWorks well under pressureExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsPassion for customer service and Chick-fil-A brandFriendly, personable and politePositive attitude and professional behavior and appearanceOrganizes and extremely detail orientatedStrong planning and project management skillsExcellent time management skillsStrong problem-solving skillsSelf-motivated; ability to work unsupervised or with little supervisionStrong leadership skills and ability to delegate responsibility when appropriateAbility to make decisions quicklyResilient - able to handle setbacksBenefits:One (1) paid birthday day in the month of your birthEarned paid time offBenefit options available after 90 days of employmentUniforms purchasedPaid employee mealsFree collegeWorking at a Chick-fil-A restaurant is more than a job - it's an opportunity for teamwork and leadership development in a positive, people-focused environment.
