We aim to be the first to do the right thing at the right time.Join the home for entrepreneurs!The EHS Specialist will be responsible for managing and enhancing the environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulations, reduce workplace hazards, and promote a safe and sustainable working environment. This role requires a deep understanding of EHS regulations, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments to maintain safe and compliant operations.Your role in our teamYou will develop, implement, and maintain environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulationsYou will conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify safety and environmental risks in the workplaceYou will lead the effort to obtain and maintain ISO 45001 certification, ensuring the development and implementation of an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) that meets all standards and requirementsYou will lead the development and delivery of safety training programs to ensure all employees are well-informed about safety procedures and regulationsYou will advise on safety policy development and updates while coordinating emergency drills across campus locationsYou will perform regular safety audits and inspections of facilities to ensure adherence to safety policies, environmental guidelines, and regulatory requirementsYou will investigate workplace incidents and accidents, document findings, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrenceYou will work closely with management to develop and implement emergency response plans and proceduresYou will ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials to maintain compliance with environmental standardsYou will monitor and track environmental performance, including waste management, air quality, and energy consumptionYou will maintain and update records related to safety, health, and environmental performance, ensuring compliance with regulatory reporting requirementsYou will collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve EHS issues, ensuring a proactive approach to workplace safety and sustainabilityYou will stay up to date with changes in local, state, and federal EHS regulations and ensure company policies and practices remain compliantYou will provide guidance and support to employees on safe work practices and environmental stewardshipYou will support management with EHS-related projects as neededYour profileYou have obtained a bachelor’s degree in environmental science, occupational safety, industrial hygiene, or a related fieldYou have proven experience in EHS management or a similar role in an industrial or manufacturing environmentYou have experience in conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigationsYou have experience with environmental sustainability programs and initiatives preferredA Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., CSP, CIH) or environmental certifications (e.g., LEED, REA) is a plusYou have in-depth knowledge of EHS laws, regulations, and best practices, including OSHA, EPA, and local safety regulationsYou have strong understanding of environmental protection principles, including waste management, pollution control, and sustainabilityYou are a self-motivated professional with the ability to manage multiple EHS projects in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to safety and environmental challenges.You have a keen attention to detail, solid knowledge of environmental monitoring tools, industrial hygiene practices, and EHS software platforms, with a strong commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant workplaceYou have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage employees at all levels of the organizationYour working environment at KörberJoin Körber Pharma and you will work in an innovative, friendly and digital environment providing the opportunity to advance your career.
