ICM Controls is seeking (1) outstanding Material Handler 1st shift | 7:00 am - 3:30 pm M-F Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $16.00 - $17.00 per hour plus. This is the reasonable estimate for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Pay could be more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant’s experience, qualifications, and geographical location. RESPONSIBILITIES: Daily: Obtains approved materials from Receiving Department and distributes these to the manufacturing floor as well as to Mezzanine or offices areas. Refers to labels to determine destination of parts or refers to spreadsheet where labels are missing. Enters location as needed where part number is missing and informs Stockroom Clerk or Supervisor to ensure new or corrected information is documented into company information system. Responds to materials/parts requests from Production Supervisors, obtaining and delivering to the Storeroom or production floor. Weekly: Maintains watch over packaging and chemical supplies to ensure adequate supplies are on hand. Reviews packaging material supplies to ensure sufficiency. Writes down part numbers for ‘clamshell’ and reports any discrepancies to Stockroom Clerk or Supervisor. Performs counts of chemical containers for Board Shop using spreadsheet to check needed versus available. Advises Stockroom Clerk who enters orders where shortages exist or are anticipated. HIRING REQUISITES Education: High school graduate or GED required Experience: 1+ year preferred from manufacturing, warehousing/distribution or high volume retail where work required use of basic data entry/computer systems and materials were maintained and designated by alpha-numeric codes. Skills: Effectively works with automated information systems; basic math; read, write and speak English sufficient to follow and/or interpret instructions and procedures, prepare information and reports and to respond appropriately to requests. Essential Competencies Compare alpha-numeric information, identify inconsistencies, note missing or out of sequence information; for accuracy in job reporting; Physical handling of materials and supplies, responding to requests, entering computer data, completing required documentation. Essential Physical/Mental /Sensory Demands (high demand) Most work is performed from standing position; walk, alternate sit/ stand; bend, stoop, crouch, kneel squat, reach, carry, lift but not repetitively up to 50 lbs, use of basic hand tools and use of company information system involves digital and manual dexterity - grip, place, press, hold, pull, physically manipulate; physical energy to keep pace with flow of activities.
