Hundreds of agencies in the publicly funded child care sector use KinderSystems applications via the cloud or mobile devices to streamline their operations, ensure compliance with government regulations, and meet the needs of the families they serve.Interfaces DeveloperThe role will be a critical part of a small team working with the client to design, implement, test, and deploy new import/export functionality for our existing enterprise solutions. We’re looking for a candidate that is a passionate problem solver with excellent communication skills that is experienced with troubleshooting and designing new functionality based on client requirements and documentation.What You'll DoBuild and maintain backend components and ETL processes — stored procedures, SQL jobs, SSIS packages, APIs, and PowerShell/batch scriptsDiagnose complex data and performance issues and deliver durable technical solutionsUse modern AI tools like Claude Code for daily development and repetitive workWrite code that's clear, easy to test, and easy for the next person to maintainParticipate in after-hours deployments, database scripting, and critical job runs as neededDocument your work as you goJoin daily standups to share progress and surface blockers earlyPartner directly with clients to gather requirements and shape new data structuresContribute to code reviews against internal standardsProvide technical guidance and effort estimates in product design sessionsSupport QA during testing phasesReliably ship critical work on timeWho You Are4+ years of recent experience with enterprise Microsoft SQL Server and SSISStrong working knowledge of:Relational database designETL processing and best practicesT-SQL — stored procedures, functions, triggers, viewsPerformance tuning with query execution plansPassionate problem solver; adept at troubleshooting support tickets by tracing the code's path to identify and solve problems and find the root causeComfortable working independently and within a small teamSharp communicator with strong attention to detailBonus: hands-on experience with Claude Code and JiraWhat We OfferThe ability to work remotely from anywhere in the US, with travel required once per yearCompensation range is $95,000-$105,000 annually; based on experience Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, and generous PTO Friendly, supportive, and adventurous environment with a team of engaged colleagues KinderSystems actively embraces diversity and equal opportunity in a meaningful way.
