Job Title: Land Acquisition Manager Company: We are a dynamic homebuilder entering the Dallas market with a new startup division focused on expansion and growth. Location: Dallas, TX (remote) Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Land Acquisition Manager to spearhead our entry into the Dallas market. As the first boots on the ground, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and securing land deals to fuel our ambitious expansion plans. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of our company and establish a strong foundation in a thriving market. Key Responsibilities: Identify and evaluate potential land acquisition opportunities that align with our strategic goals and financial targets. Build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, brokers, developers, and other stakeholders in the Dallas area. Conduct thorough market research and analysis to assess market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory requirements. Lead negotiations and manage due diligence processes for land acquisitions. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including construction, finance, legal, and marketing to ensure seamless project execution. Drive the land acquisition process from initial contact through contract negotiation and closing. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree preferred). Minimum of 5 years of experience in land acquisition or real estate development, preferably in the Dallas market. Proven track record of successfully sourcing and closing land deals for residential or commercial development projects. Strong network of contacts within the local real estate community including landowners, brokers, and developers. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of zoning regulations, entitlement processes, and land use planning.
