RN - Neuro General Neuro Unit Shift: 3x12 hour nights Years of experience: 2 years Travel experience: Preferred Charting: Epic Certifications: NIHSS, BLS Patient ratios: 1:6 3 South consists of 19 private rooms and serves a patient population with ages that range from the young adult through the geriatric patient. Priority admission is given to patients requiring medical surgical level of monitoring, interventions and care. The major types of patients include but are not limited to both medical and surgical patients and those with neurology or neurosurgical diagnoses. 3 South is equipped with telemetry and oximetry monitoring. Skills: Accessing/Managing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Feeding tube care and management, Heparin Protocols, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Management of dysrhythmias, Monitoring Chemotherapy, MS/Tele, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oxygen administration, PCA, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure, Starting and maintaining IVs, Telemetry - on the unit monitoring, Telemetry - remote monitoring, Tracheostomy care/management, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, Wound Care/Wound Vac
