The ideal candidate will step into an environment where their expertise will make a significant impact.Key Responsibilities & Duties:Administer and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments, ensuring reliability, security, and performance for mission-critical systems.Design, implement, and support high availability and disaster recovery solutions, including Always On Availability Groups.Monitor and optimize database performance, including query tuning, indexing strategies, and troubleshooting complex issues.Develop and maintain automation and administrative scripts using SQL and PowerShell to improve operational efficiency.Administer enterprise scheduling and workload automation tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Airflow, ActiveBatch) to manage job workflows, dependencies, and execution schedules.Manage and maintain endpoint patching and compliance using Automox, ensuring timely OS and third-party application updates across multiple platforms.Support and administer Azure SQL Managed Instances, including configuration, monitoring, patching, and backup/recovery processes.Assist with IT SOX controls and audits, including documentation, evidence collection, and coordination with internal and external auditors.Required Qualifications & Experience:5+ years of experience administering Microsoft SQL Server environments in production enterprise systems.Experience implementing and supporting high availability and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., Always On Availability Groups, backups, failover strategies).Strong SQL performance tuning and troubleshooting skills, including indexing, query optimization, and monitoring.Experience with automation and scripting, particularly PowerShell and SQL scripting.Hands-on experience administering enterprise scheduling or workload automation platforms.Nice to Have Skills & Experience:Experience supporting Azure SQL Managed Instances or other Azure database services.Experience with endpoint patch management platforms such as Automox.Exposure to IT SOX controls, compliance processes, or audit support within an enterprise IT environment.Perks & Benefits:3 different medical health insurance plans, dental, and vision insuranceVoluntary and Long-term disability insurancePaid time off, 401k, and holiday payWeekly direct deposit or pay card depositIf you are interested in learning more about the Sr. System Administrator opportunity, please submit your resume for consideration.
