You are ensuring that every product meets strict company standards, follows established manufacturing procedures, and supports reliable delivery to customers. Your craftsmanship, attention to detail, and commitment to safety are playing a key role in the performance and reliability of our pressure relief solutions.As a Disc maker, You Will Be:Developing layouts and planning sequences of operations by studying blueprints, shop orders, and manufacturing proceduresSetting up and operating equipment such as presses, punches, nibbler cutters, hydraulic testers, lifts, dial indicators, co‑bots, robotic systems, and precision measuring toolsForming materials using required equipment to produce rupture discsCleaning rupture disc components according to standard or special cleaning proceduresAssembling components into completed rupture discsPerforming burst testing on rupture discs up to 50", including bolting for temperature qualification and volume opening testingInspecting completed rupture discs to verify conformance to specificationsComplying with company productivity, safety, and quality requirementsOperating forklifts as neededPerforming additional duties as assigned based on workload and business needsTo Be Successful in This Role You Will Have:Education & ExperienceHave a high school diploma or GEDHave 1–3 months of experience in a production environment (experience at CDC preferred)Technical / Functional SkillsHave demonstrated mechanical aptitudeHave ability to read blueprintsHave basic math and reading skillsHave working knowledge of industrial equipment used in producing rupture discsHave basic computer skillsBehavioral SkillsHave willingness to follow all manufacturing procedures and company policiesHave strong attention to detailHave concern for quality, accuracy, and safetyHave ability to stay on task and manage time efficientlyHave a positive attitude and ability to work well with peers, supervisors, management, and visitorsPhysical RequirementsHave motor skills sufficient to safely use required tools and machineryHave ability to stand and/or walk for 8–10 hours per shift (or more during overtime)Have ability to lift up to 50 pounds using proper techniquesHave ability to wear required PPE including safety glasses and safety shoesHave willingness to work overtime, alternate shifts, and weekends as neededWork in a Way That Works for YouWorking flexible hours — flexing the times when you work in the day to help you fit everything in and work when you are the most productive.Working with UsOur people are at the heart of what we do at Baker Hughes.
