Senior Buyer – Electronics Manufacturing | Aerospace & DefenseCompetitive Compensation + Bonus Potential + Comprehensive BenefitsA leading advanced manufacturing organization serving the aerospace, defense, and high-reliability electronics sectors is seeking a highly experienced Senior Buyer to join its growing procurement team. This is a hands-on, high-impact role ideal for a strategic purchasing professional with deep experience in both New Product Introduction (NPI) and high-volume production purchasing within a complex manufacturing environment. This individual will play a critical role in supplier management, material planning, cost optimization, and ensuring continuity of supply for mission-critical programs.Key ResponsibilitiesManage purchasing activities across electronic components and multiple commodity categoriesSupport both NPI and production purchasing initiativesGenerate, review, and maintain purchase orders through ERP/MRP systemsAnalyze Material Action Reports (MAR) and take corrective action as neededNegotiate pricing, lead times, and supplier agreementsCoordinate with Program Management, Production, Scheduling, and Receiving teamsMonitor inventory flow, push-outs, pull-ins, shortages, and recovery plansPerform cost analysis and support PPV initiativesMaintain strong supplier relationships and ensure on-time delivery performanceMentor junior buyers and support cross-functional procurement initiativesEnsure compliance with AS9100, ITAR, DoD, and related quality standardsQualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience10+ years of purchasing experience within a manufacturing environmentStrong experience with electronic component procurementProven background supporting both NPI and production purchasingExperience within aerospace, defense, or highly regulated manufacturing environments preferredStrong ERP/MRP experience (Epicor, SAP, Oracle, etc.)Advanced Excel skills requiredAbility to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and vendor management skillsU.S. Citizenship required due to regulatory compliance requirementsBenefitsMedical, dental, and vision coverage401(k) with company matchCompany-paid life insurance and disability coveragePaid holidays, vacation, and sick timeEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Long-term growth opportunity within a stable and innovative organizationIf you are a proactive procurement professional looking to make an impact within a high-performance manufacturing environment, we encourage you to apply.
