We are a certified B Corp in the Electronics and Sustainability field, with facilities in Tempe, AZ, Austin, TX, and Palo Alto, CA.Job Summary:The Repair Technician plays a key role in supporting DMD’s repair operations by completing accurate, efficient, and high‑quality repairs for both in‑warranty and out‑of‑warranty devices. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent documentation skills, and the ability to collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely processing of repair needs. The Repair Technician follows established repair workflows, maintains compliance with warranty requirements, and supports overall operational efficiencyKey Responsibilities:Accurately file, document, and complete all in‑warranty repair cases in a timely and compliant mannerMaintain clear tracking and visibility of all repair cases to ensure accountability and proper documentationEnsure all warranty repairs meet partner (Dell, Lenovo, HP etc.) requirements and internal quality standardsPerform hands‑on out‑of‑warranty repairs, including physical tasks such as device disassembly, reassembly, and skinning as requiredIdentify, document, and communicate parts needed to complete repairsAssist with diagnostics, device preparation, and post‑repair quality checksCollaborate with repair, inventory, and operations teams to support efficient workflowFollow established repair processes, safety guidelines, and documentation protocolsIdentify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiencyPerform other duties as assignedEducation and Experience:High school diploma, GED, or equivalent requiredTechnical certification preferredFamiliarity with repair processes for common hardware brands such as Dell, Lenovo, HP, and Apple1–3 years of experience in device repair coordination, electronics, hardware support, or a related field (preferred)Strong attention to detail with the ability to document work accurately and consistentlyAbility to identify repair needs, troubleshoot issues, and recommend appropriate actionsComfortable performing hands‑on repair work, including device disassembly and reassemblyStrong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced operational environmentFamiliarity with warranty processing or repair ticketing systems is a plusPhysical Requirements:May include standing for long periods of timeMay include bending, twisting, squatting, and repetitive motionsAbility to lift and move equipment weighing approximately 10–50 lbs. on a regular basisReasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functionsEmployment Details:This full‑time position reports to leadership within operations.
