As a QA Technical Services Supervisor, you will lead the Technical Services team in ensuring food safety, FDA compliance, and product quality specifications. You'll supervise a team and play a crucial role in maintaining our commitment to delivering top-quality products. Your responsibilities will include managing food safety, quality, and performance, coordinating investigations, and providing technical support to enhance our operation.ResponsibilitiesLead, coordinate, and evaluate the Technical Services team to meet performance and compliance goalsProvide training and development to direct reports in food safety, quality, sanitation, safety, and performanceEnsure compliance with food safety, FDA regulations, and company quality standards through audits, reviews, and customer feedbackLead investigations of product safety/quality issues, safety hazards, accidents, and near misses; implement corrective and preventive actionsOversee product testing, sampling programs, and lab operations to ensure accurate, timely resultsMaintain and update SOPs in Ideagen; assist with Food Safety Plan updates and continuous improvementsConduct internal audits against quality system standards and serve as a subject matter expert in traceability exercisesReview consumer complaint data to identify trends and drive corrective actionsManage compliance programs for metal detection, microbiology, and analytical testingProvide technical support for manufacturing and collaborate with R&D and customers on new product developmentSafeguard products and operations by adhering to company policies, procedures, and access controlsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree with one year of related experience (can include internships) or equivalent combination of education/experience (2 years of experience = 1 year of education)Strong planning, organizational, and leadership skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interpret technical documentsStrong decision-making, problem-solving, and customer service skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environmentHigh integrity, initiative, and commitment to company values and quality standardsProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and related systemsWillingness to learn, adapt to change, and collaborate with R&DValid driver’s license and ability to travel occasionallyMath proficiency (fractions, percentages, basic algebra)Preferred QualificationsDegree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related fieldPCQI CertificationInternal Auditor certificationExperience with PHRS, OPM, WMS, or similar systemsPrior Technical Services or Quality Assurance experience BenefitsCompetitive weekly payProfit-sharing cash bonus program401(k) with matching contributions25 days Paid Time Off (for vacation, holidays, sick time, personal time, etc.)Medical insurance, including health, dental, vision and prescription drug planSupplemental plans, including life insuranceFully-paid parental leaveHealth Center and PharmacyMental wellness counseling (on-site in TN, virtual elsewhere)Tuition reimbursementCredit UnionExercise and recreation facilityWellness programs with incentivesEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Short-term and long-term disability benefits (company-paid)We are an Equal Opportunity Employer
