The mission of the Winter Park Institute (WPI) is to engage global thought leaders in meaningful conversations that impactour world. Their purpose is to create opportunities to explore new ideas that improve our lives and our communities.Previously a part of Rollins College until 2020, The Winter Park Institute is now a private 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organizationthat has been reorganized and managed by a Board of Trustees.Position Summary:The Winter Park Institute, Inc., seeks a dynamic and experienced executive who will enthusiastically embrace its mission and lead the organization with excellence. The ideal candidate will report to and partner with the Board of Trustees to execute thevision for the future of the Winter Park Institute. The Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization’s operations including leading fundraising efforts; cultivating donor relationships; program development and management; event management including contract negotiation and managing logistics; financial management; and marketing/communications management.Qualifications:History of success in a senior management position; nonprofit organization preferredDemonstrated visionary leadership and organizational managementStrong written and verbal communication skills; diplomatic communicator with multiple stakeholdersExperience working with a nonprofit boardExcellent interpersonal skillsA proven track record in fundraising and developmentStrong business and management skills including budgeting and financeExperience in program development and reviewHistory of positive results in marketing and community engagementAbility to collaborate and work with diverse groups, community organizations and partnersProven competence with technology; demonstrated savvy with respect to Social Media platformsCompleted minimum of Bachelor’s Degree
