Job Description CNC Lathe Machinist III – 2nd ShiftLocation: Addison, ILType: Direct Hire 2nd Shift: Monday through Friday – 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM (Overtime available)Pay Rate: $25 to $36 per hour (plus 10% differential)Requirements: Resume / Interview / Background Check / Drug Test / Authorized to work in the U.S. (ITAR Facility)SUMMARYThe CNC Lathe Machinist III is required to set-up and run the most complex proven or new parts with little to no supervision. Responsible for the machining of products to meet customer specifications. Operation and light set-up would be done by selecting and installing tooling, updating fixtures, and pulling CNC machining programs.JOB OVERVIEWLoad parts (Ability to load and run parts per Manufacturing plan or Product Specifications)Monitor tooling wear and changing tools as required per tool life monitoring.Inspect parts with mechanical gauges (calipers, mics, height gauges, pins, etc.)Perform setups on production parts and NPI work (CFA, FA, and SCR jobs)CFA – Customer First Article or NPIFA – Internal First Article or new processSCR – Customer new process or customer engineering change requestPerform tool, offset changes on setup, and submit a passing internal first article to QA.Ability to provide feedback during Design-for-manufacturing (DFM) reviews during initial manufacturing review.Provide feedback to programming on feed, speed, and tooling requirements when performing a NPI setup.Meet job standard times consistently. Communicate to lead or supervisor when jobs are over or under called out standards. Deburr work in process. Promote the company initiative of Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement projects and 5S implementation and sustainment. lock in and off operations according to sequence number of the work order.
