Ideal candidate will be responsible to manage and teach curricula within the Division of Pre-licensure Nursing. A minimum of 10 hours per week of scheduled office time set aside for contact with students.Applicants should show evidence of personal faith in Jesus Christ, comfort with the Wesleyan-Arminian theology, and commitment to liberal arts learning and the integration of Christian faith and learning.Position to begin July 2026Duties And ResponsibilitiesTeach 24 credit hours in Pre-licensure Nursing per yearMay include teaching summer courses Maintain expertise in specific teaching area of nursingMaintain knowledge of The Essentials of Nursing Education for Baccalaureate Degree Programs Assist in keeping curricula current and evidence-based May maintain clinical practice (not to exceed 15 hours per week) Participate in School of Nursing and Health Sciences and university committees as elected/appointed Advise students in achieving the requirements for graduation Advise students in achieving the requirements for NCLEX Assist students in self-evaluation, career planning and spiritual formation Attend graduations/retreat/convocation/and other activities[KR1.1] Other duties as assigned Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.EducationPreferred: Doctorate in Nursing or otherRequired: Master of Science in NursingCPR certifiedActive, unencumbered Indiana Nursing licenseExperienceMust have three (3) years of nursing experienceRequired SkillsGreat accuracy and attention to detailAbility to work well with a team and yet be able to work independentlyAbility to accurately follow instructionsExcellent organization skillsExcellent word processing, database and spreadsheet skillsAbility to professionally handle confidential informationExcellent interpersonal skills for relating effectively with employees throughout the universityExcellent telephone skillsExcellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skillsExcellent role model of inter-professional competency domainsProblem-solving skillsIWU Kingdom Diversity StatementIWU, in covenant with God's reconciling work and in accordance with the Biblical principles of our historic Wesleyan tradition, commits to build a community that reflects Kingdom diversity.
