DescriptionDescription:ADDMAN is seeking a CMM Programmer Operator to join the Quality Team. This is an exciting position that plays a key role in ensuring production parts meet customer requirements using CMM equipment and software. This person will assist in performing visual and dimension inspections to ensure that all product meets customer specifications and requirements.ResponsibilitiesMeasure key part characteristics with CMM equipmentPerform CMM programming, setup, and analysis of both in process and finished productsWork with engineering and programming teams to troubleshoot partsPerform first piece production inspection and provide feedback Document findings and develop planning for jobs Train others on CMM operation and appropriate methodsCheck and verify machined component dimensions using measuring devices to blueprintsCommunicate effectively with machinist, operators, and management to maintain acceptable quality standardsMaintain and generate all required quality documentation including inspection and discrepancy reportsPerform other miscellaneous duties as assigned or requestedRequirementsITAR REQUIREMENTS:This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person citizenship status.Skill RequirementsComputer skills Innovative thinker and a self-starterSolid problem-solver strong sense of urgencyGood organization and attention to detailQualifications2 year technical degree and/or 2 years shop floor machining2 years shop Floor machining and/or 6 months Quality Inspection in machine shop environmentAble to operate a CMM, including choosing appropriate tools and inspecting parts with minimal supervisionPreferred experience with PC DMIS CMM softwareKnowledge of GD&T and general blueprint interpretationWork EnvironmentThe performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where all areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, and other mandatory safety equipment. For the most part, ambient temperatures with typical plant lighting and manufacturing equipment are present throughout the facility. Physical DemandsSit or stand as needed. Walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. Reaching above shoulder height, below the waist, or lifting as required to reach documents or store materials throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques required. Ability and comfortability to work in small confine spaces while following proper safety protocol. Ability to accomplish the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
