Warehouse Material Handler
About the Role:
As a Warehouse Material Handler, you will play a critical role in optimizing supply chain efficiency by ensuring the seamless movement and organization of inventory. You will leverage your expertise in heavy equipment operation to maintain high throughput and accuracy in our fast-paced distribution environment.
Responsibilities:
Execute shipping and receiving workflows, ensuring the precise loading and unloading of freight.
Operate industrial forklifts and Hi-Lo equipment to transport materials safely across the facility.
Drive inventory accuracy by conducting systematic storage and retrieval of goods.
Support distribution objectives through efficient order picking, packing, and labeling processes.
Perform routine mechanical inspections and preventative maintenance on material handling equipment.
Maintain a high standard of workplace safety and organizational cleanliness to optimize operational flow.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
Proven experience operating heavy machinery, specifically forklifts or Hi-Lo equipment.
Demonstrated history of working within a warehouse or distribution center environment.
Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations for inventory tracking and management.
Strong commitment to safety protocols and accident prevention.
Preferred Skills:
Valid forklift certification or operator license.
Prior experience with warehouse management systems or digital inventory tools.
Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and basic equipment repair.
