Site Foreman

Utility Foreman Job DescriptionThe Utility Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating the installation of underground site utilities, including domestic water, sanitary sewer, natural gas, storm drainage, grease traps, manholes, fire lines, and related systems. This position leads field crews, assigns daily work, reviews plans and specifications, coordinates equipment and materials, and ensures all installations are completed safely, accurately, and according to project schedules.Additional responsibilities include verifying grades, elevations, slopes, and utility locations; coordinating inspections and testing; maintaining daily production records; communicating with project managers, superintendents, inspectors, subcontractors, and other trades; and identifying potential conflicts before they affect the work. The Utility Foreman is also responsible for enforcing safety requirements, including excavation, trenching, shoring, confined-space, and equipment-operation procedures.The ideal candidate should have experience with underground utility construction, plan reading, crew supervision, excavation safety, and the installation and testing of water, sewer, gas, grease waste, and related site utility systems.
