The Mental Health Worker serves as co-team leader and is responsible for providing team and individually delivered therapy and case management to children and their families in the home and community. The Mental Health Worker provides individual and family therapy to children and their families as clinically indicated, using the ESFT model. Therapists work with the child and family to improve overall mental health by taking a strengths based approach with the goal of keeping the child in the home setting and out of inpatient hospital or Residential treatment or foster care..Pay Rate: $20.00/hr for both billable and Non billable time + Mileage reimbursement for daily travelBonus: Employee sign on- $1000.00 to be paid in 3 incrementsBonus is for full time employees and paid out according to training schedule. a. $250.00- After competing 90-day probationb. $250.00- After competing 6 months of employmentc. $500.00- After 1 year of employmentJob Accountabilities:Provide individual, family and parent therapy sessions using the ESFT modelSupport and promote strengths-based approaches to children, adolescents, and families in their attachment, self-regulation, co-caregiver alliances, and executive functioningMaintain compliance with CASSP principles & principles of cultural competenceProvide support to families in successfully managing crisis situations. Maintain compliance with the Medical Assistance and Managed Care regulations in accordance with Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s outpatient program regulationsCommunication with families, schools, school districts, managed care organizations, referral sources and other providers as necessary to ensure satisfaction with services received, continuity of care and promote quality client care Promote program growth, quality of servicesMaintain productivity and complete documentation within established guidelinesComplete initial assessments and treatment plans, and updates within established program timelinesAttend staff training and supervisions as assigned3 hours of supervision time weeklyPosition Requirements:Education: BACHELORS Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Education, Rehabilitation, pre-med, theology or anthropology. At least 1 year working with children and adolescence in the CASSP systemHave 12 college level semester hours in humanities or social services plus 1 year of experience in a CASSP system program and be enrolled for certification by OMH as a mental health family based workerBe a licensed RN plus have 1 year of experience in a CASSP system program and be enrolled for certification by OMH as a mental health family based workerValid driver’s licenseAbility to pass required background clearances (FBI, Childline, Criminal, driving record)Work Experience: Previous experience working with children and families in any settingAt least 1 year working with children and adolescence in the CASSP systemWaiver option can be explored for applicants with less then 1 years experience.
