Support Engineer IThis position is responsible for the programming, setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC mills and mill-turn machining centers, CAM software, and related systems. Responsibilities include the production of precision components for prototyping, production runs, and engineering deliverables, as well as performing routine equipment maintenance.Key ResponsibilitiesProgram, set up, and operate CNC mills and mill-turn machining centers.Utilize CAM software for toolpath development.Produce precision components according to engineering drawings and 3D models.Perform routine maintenance on machinery and related systems.Troubleshoot CNC hardware and CAM software issues.Design and fabricate custom jigs and fixtures as needed.Ensure work meets GD&T and surface finish requirements.Required QualificationsOver 3 years of relevant work experience in a precision manufacturing environment, including programming and operating CNC mills or mill-turn machining centers. A detailed knowledge of basic machining concepts, including feeds and speeds, and tool selection. Proficiency in reading and interpreting 3D models and engineering drawings using CAD software such as SolidWorks or NX. A working knowledge of fixture and workholding design is also required. Must be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs.Preferred QualificationsExperience with CAM software such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, NX, or HyperMill for toolpath development.Basic proficiency in SolidWorks, NX, or an equivalent CAD software.Experience with designing custom jigs and fixtures at a fabrication level.Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
