Job DescriptionDelivery Driver – Austin, TXSummaryWe’re seeking a reliable and customer-focused Delivery Driver to join our team in Austin, TX. In this role, you’ll safely load, transport, and unload Pella products while delivering an excellent customer experience. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our products arrive on time and meet Pella’s high-quality standards.Assignments may vary based on business needs, and you’ll work closely with team members to support daily operations.License RequirementsDriver I: Class B CDL (may be required)Key ResponsibilitiesSafely operate a delivery truck to transport Pella products to job sites and designated locationsLoad and unload materials according to delivery documentationProtect products from damage throughout handling and deliveryPerform visual quality checks during loading and unloadingProvide professional, courteous customer service in the fieldCollect COD payments and provide receipts when requiredObtain customer signatures to confirm deliveries and pickupsCommunicate shortages, discrepancies, or delivery concerns proactivelyMaintain accurate DOT logs and report vehicle maintenance needsFollow all safety procedures, including use of required PPE (e.g., safety glasses, footwear, seat belts)Keep work areas clean and organizedSupport continuous improvement initiatives within the teamQualificationsEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED requiredPrior delivery or logistics experience preferredStable and dependable work historyTechnical SkillsBasic computer skills preferredWillingness to learn company systems and tools (e.g., Outlook, internal software)Communication SkillsStrong verbal and written English skillsExcellent customer service and interpersonal skillsProfessional SkillsTeam-oriented with a strong work ethicSelf-motivated and detail-orientedAbility to follow tasks through to completionProfessional appearance and demeanorBuilds trust with customers and coworkersMath SkillsBasic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)Ability to work with measurements, time, and monetary calculationsPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motionsLift and move up to 100 pounds occasionallyWork at heights of 1–2 stories when neededVision requirements include close, distance, and depth perceptionWork EnvironmentCombination of warehouse, delivery vehicle, and outdoor job sitesModerate to loud noise levelsExposure to varying weather conditions depending on the seasonSchedule and travel may vary based on business needs, including occasional overnight travelAdditional RequirementsValid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) as applicableCompliance with company Fleet Safety PolicyAbout UsAbout Pella CorporationAs the #1 most-preferred national window and door brand by homeowners across the country, Pella Corporation leads the industry in innovation and design.
