Data Engineer
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer for a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity based in Charlotte, NC. This position follows a hybrid schedule with 3 days onsite per week and offers a pay range of $60 to $65 an hour W-2. The ideal candidate will have strong experience building scalable cloud-based data solutions, modern ELT pipelines, and full stack data applications using technologies such as Snowflake, Python, SQL, and Azure.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain scalable ELT pipelines and enterprise data workflowsDesign and implement data models, warehouse structures, and backend servicesBuild full stack data applications leveraging modern cloud technologiesDevelop Snowflake-based solutions within Azure cloud environmentsWrite high-quality, maintainable Python and SQL codeImplement automated testing frameworks and reusable engineering standardsBuild and support CI/CD pipelines using GitHub workflowsCreate reporting and visualization solutions using tools such as Power BIMonitor and troubleshoot production issues to ensure data reliability and performanceRequired Qualifications:3+ years of hands-on Snowflake experience5+ years of Python development experience5+ years of SQL development experienceExperience with CI/CD processes and GitHub workflowsStrong understanding of data warehouse design and optimizationCloud platform experience, preferably AzureBachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experiencePreferred Qualifications:Experience with Dagster orchestrationExperience with dbt transformationsFamiliarity with Gurobi optimization solverExperience with Elementary data validationRetool development experienceGoAnywhere MFT experienceExperience with Azure services including ADF, Synapse, and Key VaultExposure to Snowflake ML/AI or RSQL Server, SSIS, and SSRS experienceFinancial services industry experienceExperience working within Agile environmentsDesired Soft Skills:Strong ownership mentality and self-motivationAbility to work independently and collaborativelyResourceful problem-solving mindsetExcellent communication and analytical skills
