Assistant Manufacturing Supervisor

Job DescriptionManufacturing facility in Lancaster, OH is hiring for an Assistant Production Supervisor for 1st shift. Monday to Friday Dayshift, starting at 6am- Must be willing to do overtime as needed.Pay: $27.50/hr Fantastic benefits package available starting Day 1 The Assistant Supervisor supports departmental leadership in overseeing production processes, workforce coordination, and quality control. This role focuses on assisting in scheduling, training, safety enforcement, and operational efficiency while promoting a collaborative and productive work environment. Tasks include: Assist in day-to-day department operations to ensure production runs efficiently. Support production scheduling using Oracle reports and help interpret production data. Aid in onboarding, training, and cross-training employees for greater workforce flexibility. Monitor employee performance and provide input for performance evaluations. Communicate effectively across teams and help resolve routine production or personnel issues. Reinforce safety protocols, including PPE usage and Lockout/Tagout procedures. Contribute to Lean initiatives and help implement process improvements. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in partnership with the Supervisor. Requirements MUST HAVE experience as a assistant supervisor in a manufacturing environment Have good communication skills - verbal & written Have good math skills Fluent in English; bilingual in English & Spanish is helpful Have strong computer skills including MS Office Have proven strong people skills Forklift certification helpful but not required Ability to work in a non-climate controlled facility Be able to lift 50 lbs Previous experience in a metal/fabrication environment is an asset.
