Our results have come from years of experience operating as independent-minded advisors and focusing on our client’s outcomes and experience.The RoleWe are seeking an accomplished Chief Operating Officer to work alongside the Founder and Managing Partners in driving the practice’s strategic, operational, and cultural direction. This is a senior leadership role with practice-wide influence and responsibility. The ideal candidate has broad RIA experience, deep operational acumen, and a demonstrated ability to build and lead teams that excel in new client acquisition, retention, and service quality.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic & Organizational Leadership·      Partner with executive leadership on long-term strategy, business planning, and operational execution.·      Build and refine scalable operating frameworks that support sustainable growth while preserving the practice’s boutique client experience.·      Lead practice-wide initiatives to strengthen competitive positioning and operational excellence.Client Acquisition, Retention & Service Excellence·      Develop and oversee a comprehensive, high-standards client service model with clear expectations, workflows, and accountability.·      Drive continuous improvement in new client acquisition, ensuring a seamless and personalized experience.·      Implement programs, metrics, and feedback that enhance client retention and deepen existing relationships.·      Establish and monitor KPIs to ensure consistently high performance across the client experience lifecycle.Leadership, Talent Development & Culture·      Lead, coach, and develop advisors, wealth managers, and operational teams to ensure consistent execution of the practice’s service and engagement standards.·      Cultivate a high-performance culture characterized by accountability, excellence, and proactive client engagement.·      Oversee training and development programs that elevate advisor capability and reinforce practice-wide client-centric behaviors.·      Design and implement client service systems and retention protocols that meet the expectations of an ultra-high-net-worth clientele.Drive Operational Management·      Direct the practice’s day-to-day operations, including workflow optimization, process redesign, technology implementation, and compliance coordination.·      Manage vendor relationships and third-party platforms to ensure operational efficiency and scalability.·      Identify operational risks and implement solutions that enhance reliability, performance, and client satisfaction.Financial & Business Management·      Lead financial planning, forecasting, and business analytics, including oversight of practice-level P&L and cost structures.·      Provide partners with insights and key metrics to support strategic decisions.What We’re Looking For·      Direct RIA experience is required — you must understand how registered investment advisory practices operate, from compliance to client service to advisor operations.·      Demonstrated success leading teams and organizations in client acquisition, retention, and service excellence.·      Demonstrated ability to develop advisors and managers, with measurable improvements in performance and client outcomes.·      Strong financial acumen, comfortable and experienced with practice-level business planning, cost structures and P&L management.·      Outstanding communication skills with executive presence and credibility among senior partners and UHNW clients.·      Familiarity with the Los Angeles market preferred.·      High integrity, high accountability, and low ego.CompensationCompetitive and commensurate with experience.Submit your resume and a summary of your RIA leadership experience to AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER: Hightower is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate based upon race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, pregnancy, marital status, national origin, citizenship, veteran status, ancestry, age (over 40), physical or mental disability, medical condition (cancer-related), gender identity or expression, genetic information including sickle cell or hemoglobin C trait, or any other consideration made unlawful by applicable federal, state, or local law.Hightower Advisors, LLC is an SEC registered investment adviser.
