Regional Director - TXW + PHS

Split TXW/PHSPosition Summary:Promotes the success of assigned campuses by facilitating the development, articulation, implementation, and stewardship of a vision of learning that is shared and supported by students, parents, the community, and ResponsiveEd. Promotes and encourages the success of every Campus Director/Headmaster by advocating, advising, and sustaining an organizational culture and operational efficiencies conducive to student learning and staff professional growth. Will also be responsible for supervisory oversight of all budgetary needs and academic functions of individual school campuses to support the mission and vision of ResponsiveEd, a public school district.Qualifications:Education/Certification and ExperienceFour-year degree from an accredited College or University (Masters Preferred)Teaching certificate or school administrator certificate (preferred)5 years of experience in an educational environment5 years of experience working with administrative leadership, clients and/or stakeholders, and/or education personnel related to school improvement, facilitation of learning, or related educational interest5 years of experience using information and instructional technology5 years of experience in supervising a staff5 years of experience in managing budgetsRequired Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAdvanced knowledge of federal and state education lawsGeneral knowledge of organizational structure and processesStrong organizational, time management, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to support and mentor the development of staffAbility to communicate with all levels of students, their parents, teachers, the community, peers, administrative staff, and district staffAbility to interpret policies, proceduresAbility to hire, evaluate and terminate personnelAbility to mentor, train and support personnelGeneral knowledge of budgetary processes and accounting proceduresDemonstrated ability to be a contributing member of an organizational teamAbility to speak in public on a frequent basisAbility to problem solve and networkAbility to cast a vision for the futureGeneral knowledge of due processAbility to travel frequentlyResponsibilities and DutiesOversee staffing of school campuses and make recommendations in the hiring processOversee campus budgets and purchase requestsWork collaboratively with others in developing the mission and articulating the vision for the district academic programReview facility needs and make suggestions for improvementAssist in the coordination of new campus start-upsSupervise the process for benchmarks, academic testing, learning styles & state assessmentsCoordinate professional developments and monitor all paper and computer based curriculumConduct systematic reviews of policies and procedures that impact the academic programDirectly supervises employees in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable lawsReview and document implementation of the ResponsiveEd Quality StandardsMonitor the management of all student services (ie. Section 504/Special Education/English as a Second Language, CTE etc.)Approve subject and grade level assignments for teachersUse data to improve processes and structures for responding to stakeholdersEnsure that parents are informed through the use of standard report card, and progress reports as per state regulationsConduct graduate reviews that include class rank, honor graduate certificates, and selection of valedictorian and salutatorian as appliesMonitor the implementation of character educationImplement, uphold and enforce system-wide policies and proceduresMonitor classroom environments to ensure appropriate use of curriculumServe as the liaison between the campuses and ResponsiveEd district officesAppraise the performance of campus directors and holds them accountableResolves complaints and grievances according to the ResponsiveEd policies and proceduresEnsure the management of the organization, operation, and resources for a safe, efficient, and effective learning environment.Collaborate with faculty and community members, responding to diverse community interests and needsAct with integrity, fairness, and in an ethical mannerUnderstand and respond to the political, social, economic, legal, and cultural context of assigned territoryMonitor the implementation of educational programs to ensure conformance to state and school board standardsMonitor and assess student average daily attendance.
