Network/System Administrator Position SummaryAs the Network/System Administrator you will support the MARFORPAC Data Fusion Center (DFC) in real-world operations, crisis response, training, and exercise events. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on technical support for Command and Control (C2) systems and Common Operating Picture (COP) capabilities that enable operational awareness and informed decision-making. This position is critical to ensuring system availability, data integrity, and continuous mission support in dynamic operational environments.Clearance Requirements: Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCIEssential Functions and Responsibilities: Operate and support Command and Control systems, including but not limited to: Global Command and Control System-Joint (GCCS-J), Joint Range Extension Applications Protocol (JREAP), Agile ClientContinuously monitor the status and performance of: COP servers, COP Sync Tools (CST) connections, Link Monitoring and Management Tool (LMMT) connections, VMware environment sustainability, Daily COP and JREAP operationsPerform continuous COP database management, including validation, maintenance, and troubleshootingMonitor real-time data streams and identify system, connectivity, or synchronization issuesAssist with incident analysis, operational reporting, and documentation of system performance or outagesUpdate and maintain Data Fusion Center documents using groupware applications and the Microsoft Office suiteCoordinate with military, joint, and other mission personnel to support operational data sharing and situational awarenessProvide watch floor support during routine operations, exercises, and crisis eventsDocument issues, resolutions, and turnover notes to support continuity across watch rotationsRequired Education, Skills, and Experience: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or an Associate's degree may be accepted with 6 additional years of relevant experience8 years of relevant experience supporting a U.S. military branch (Navy, Army, Marine Corps, Air Force, or Coast Guard) in Command and Control systems supportExperience supporting mission-critical systems in an operational or military environmentAbility to work shift schedules in an 8-hour watch rotationAbility to travel CONUS and OCONUSStrong troubleshooting, organizational, and documentation skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience in intelligence, operations, fusion center, or criminal justice-related environmentsFamiliarity with COP management, database support, tactical data systems, or surveillance-related technologiesExperience with specialized C2, analytical, or operational software platformsDemonstrated proficiency in written and spoken EnglishStrong communication and teamwork skills, especially in high-tempo operational settingsPhysical Demands and Expectations: Travel will be required to support this task (up to 25% travel) Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting (up to 30 pounds), and standing; occasional prolonged sitting Ability to speak, read, hear and write, with or without assistance Ability to use phone and computer systems, copier, fax and other office equipment This position description re present s a summary of the major components and requirements of the outlined job.
