At Tutor Perini Civil you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of large, high-profile, projects that impact your community.Extraordinary Projects need Exceptional TalentJob SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Design Manager to lead and coordinate all design-related activities across our civil construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing multidisciplinary design teams, ensuring that designs are technically sound, meet project requirements, comply with relevant codes and standards, and are delivered on time and within budget.DescriptionLead and manage the design development process from concept through construction documentation for civil infrastructure projects (e.g., roads, bridges, drainage, utilities, land development).Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure design solutions are practical, buildable, and cost-effective.Liaise with project managers and construction teams to integrate design with construction planning, procurement, and scheduling.Ensure all designs comply with local authority requirements, statutory regulations, and project-specific standards.Review and approve design documents, drawings, and specifications.Identify and mitigate design risks early in the project lifecycle.Oversee and manage the resolution of design-related issues during construction.Manage design budgets, timelines, and deliverables.Facilitate design reviews, value engineering sessions, and constructability analyses.Report design progress, risks, and issues to senior management and clients.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (Master’s preferred).Professional registration (e.g., Chartered Engineer, PE, RPEQ, etc.) is an advantage.Minimum [X] years of experience in design management within the civil construction or infrastructure industry.Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and construction processes.Excellent knowledge of design codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., AS, Eurocodes, AASHTO, etc.).Proficient in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation) and project management tools.Exceptional communication, leadership, and coordination skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Equal Opportunity Employer
